The only child of a mystery writer and a sitcom boom operator, Miranda Rizzolo grew up with a love of Shakespeare and a talent for making funny faces.

When her painful shyness inspired her parents to send her to summer camp, she discovered the brave new world of theater and has never looked back (this, she claims, is her parents' fault for naming her after a Shakespearean heroine in the first place). Leaving her native Los Angeles to attend Yale, she graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Theater and English and was awarded a Marshall Scholarship to pursue her master's degree in Classical Acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).
